Should I shop my insurance again?
Reviewing options can be useful at renewal, especially when price or terms change. This checklist helps you organize the review; it does not decide whether to switch insurers or recommend a provider.
Private by design: tick only the review steps you have completed. No personal details are requested. Your progress stays in this tab and is not sent to a server.
To save a PDF, choose “Save as PDF” in your browser print dialog. Reloading clears your progress.

Completing these steps is not a recommendation to switch, a quote, or a guarantee of savings or suitable coverage.
Before you change coverage
- Auto, home and renters: compare equivalent limits, deductibles and exclusions, along with the price. Confirm the new effective date before ending an existing policy.
- Life: replacement can involve new underwriting, costs and policy conditions. Review the existing policy and discuss replacement implications with a licensed professional.
- Pet: check pre-existing-condition exclusions and waiting periods before changing insurers. A new policy may not cover conditions covered by the old one.
- Health: review your renewal notice, network and covered prescriptions privately. Confirm enrollment dates and eligibility with your marketplace or employer; enrollment windows are not the same for every kind of coverage.
